This is the blank bezel. You can see that it is nice and deep.
I wanted to show you what Friendly Plastic looks like embedded in Envirotex Lite. Friendly Plastic is a well known craft product and
has its own inspirational blog where you can learn more about it.
I cut several strips of Friendly Plastic slightly longer than the bezel.
I placed these strips side by side and then melted them together (using the manufacturer's instructions) on my griddle.
While the plastic was still warm I pressed this charm into it. I also pressed my bezel shape very gently into the plastic so I would see the lines allowing me to cut out my shape to fit my bezel.
Friendly Plastic is easy to cut when it is still warm. I placed my trimmed piece into the bezel and it already looked quite nice.
It looked a WHOLE LOT BETTER after I poured some Envirotex Lite over it.
It looks like glass now!
Note: If you are new to this blog there have been several posts explaining how to properly mix, use and pour Envirotex Lite resin. I encourage you to take some time to read some of these earlier posts here on Resin Crafts Blog.
