Pencils in Jewelry Resin

This is crossing the cuteness overload threshold!
These are indeed tiny pencils embedded in Jewelry Resin.
I know what you are thinking.
They look pretty good just glued into the bezel.

But they would not be secure!

So after placing them into the bezel I knew I would glue them permanently by covering them with Jewelry Resin.
(I can't tell you where these pencils came from.  They were a little favor attached to a ribbon around a Christmas gift.)
TIP:  You would think a project as simple as this would be trouble free.
Two things to watch for.  Air bubbles did get caught between the pencils and around the sharpened nibs.  I had to babysit this for over an hour.
Then I walked away and at least 90 minutes after the pour, one pencil just slid away from the bottom.  I was able to push it back with a toothpick where it permanently cured.  Whew!

  1. Love the pencils! This would be a great student or teachers gift.
