I have a great project to share with you today!
Sarah from Saturday Sequins invited me to participate in her first ever blog hop.
I could not resist. I do love sequins!
My sequin pallet was inspired by this paint theme in Better Homes and Garden magazine
called "Passage to India."
Aren't these colours fab?
AND, I had all the sequin colours to match!
Two of my bezels feature sequins under resin. I used Jewelry Resin, which is perfect for shallow pours. I glued my other sequins into their bezel homes.
Assembling my necklace was a joy. The colours made me very happy.
I can't decide if I like the sequins glued or under resin best.
Each bezel is fun.
The finished necklace is a sequin show stopper!
I am going to spend some time today checking out my fellow sequin fans!
Thank you for inviting me Sarah!

Wow, look at that!!! It's beautiful -- I'm so impressed. I like the sequins both ways, I think. They look beautiful and dramatic on the same necklace.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating! I might have another hop in April, and if I do, you're more than welcome to join us for that one, too. <3
I love your necklace. The colors are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the pendants you created! So pretty!

Wow, this takes bling to a whole new level! Personally, I like the resin-y components best, but I'm crazy for resin at the moment, so maybe that is influencing me a bit. Just wild and spangly and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the sequins, I need to try resin. The necklace is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletewow! I haven't tried resin yet, but I've been wanting to give it a try
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely amazing! And I ADORE the colors! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW I might give resin a try also. Love the neckless
ReplyDeleteHi Carmi,
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace with all the resin sequin bezels, beautiful!
Therese
Fun! Love your inspiration photo and seeing how you translated the colors in your piece. The finished design has a definite "Passage to India" flavor.
ReplyDeleteLovely pendants! A somewhat unusual and creative use of sequins in jewellery.
ReplyDeleteI have a few sequins with colour that easily rubs off and encasing them in resin would probably be a great way to use them without having to worry about losing the colour.
I'm so glad you participated Carmi! I love what you do with resin, and resin and sequins looks like a win-win to me. I really love the ones under resin. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh this is so cleaver and an excellent piece of art. Well done.
ReplyDeleteNicole/Beadwright
I really like that you did some with resin and some without. It really gives the piece some texture. The whole design is so full of whimsy. I love the way you combined the chains. That green chain is really eye-catching! Wonderful job :)
ReplyDeleteThe paint theme is awesome, and I never would have thought of resin! Well done!
ReplyDeleteSharing your process was fantastic; gracias! "Passage to India" is rich, wonderful, vibrant art jewelry! And your empowering art jewelry blog is incredible too.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate learning the resin you recommend for shallow bezels, and find both styles of sequin focals dazzling in beauty! Gorgeous necklace!
namaste,
Rita
I love what you have done.. I can not decided whether I love the sequins in the resin or glued.. They both look GREAT.
ReplyDeleteThis is certainly a sequin show stopper. The things you do with resin.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular necklace. I love how all the components come together so harmoniously.
ReplyDeleteThis piece is just GREAT !! I realy realy love it! It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteVERY cool use of sequins!
ReplyDeleteCarmi, I love your necklace. First the colors you paired together are so happy! I also like how you used sequins in two different ways. Great for reflecting light and sparkle as well as adding dimension!
ReplyDeleteStill hopping and so glad I popped over to your blog first thing this morning! Have a fabulous day!
{Hugs!}
