Jewelry Resin and More Buttons!

I thought I would share a few more button ideas with you.  I successfully worked in these plastic buttons earlier this month and did a blog post about them.
These buttons were given to me by John Bead, a bead and jewelry wholesaler who is one of the sponsors of our workshops at the Craft and Hobby show in California this weekend.
They really are bright and big!
All I do is seal my paper properly with Ultra-Seal and the Jewelry Resin does the rest!

  2. Do you seal the holes in the button first? Or does the glued on paper seal it enough to prevent seepage? They're pretty nice!

    1. I didn't close the wholes at all...believe it or not the sealed paper (in the opening) does all the work for you!

  3. Ahhh spell check.....how I wish I could edit a comment. Anyway, I did not close the "holes" the sealed paper was all I needed to contain the resin.

  4. hmmm... wonder if you could thread some wire through the holes before you glued in the paper? That way you could easily make a bail to turn it into a fun pendant!

  6. Carmi, is there any information about the jewelry resin yet? I've been to two Michael's stores out here and I checked Joann's and Hobby Lobby and they don't have it.

    1. Hi Bonnie, I am not sure what the hold up is...Michaels has the shipment (and they are the only ones for now) and must be waiting to add it to the shelves now that the Christmas clear-out is done.
