Envirotex Lite And Mixed Media Projects

This canvas is still a work in progress.  I hope to finish it over the long weekend.
It gave me the opportunity to show you how I use Envirotex Lite as both a glue and glaze for mixed media pieces.
The book features an orchid I dried this summer.  The pale blue was the orchid special colour.
I used Envirotex Lite to adhere my metal embellishment to the book.
Then I used it to glaze and permanently seal my orchid.
I even glued the book to the canvas with Envirotex Lite!
The fun part was painting a thick layer of Envirotex Lite over the canvas in several places.  I dropped Stampendous Fragments into that resin and let it cure overnight.
The next morning I was able to brush away any extra flakes.
The rest is beautifully embedded!

  2. I love this! How big is the canvas? Does the book open with anything on the pages??

I have plans to dabble in journaling and mixed media this year. I hope I can find inspiration from this blog (no problem there) that I can relate to my experiences and translate into a journal!

    Thanks for even more inspiration!
