Never Too Early To Plan Christmas!

There will be a few people who see these samples and think...blek, not Christmas already!
But for those of you participating in fall crafts and art sales, summer is when you work on inventory.
I wanted to share with you a post I wrote on my personal blog this week featuring fantastic Christmas imagery, Envirotex Jewelry Resin and some jewelry components.  I hope it provides you with some ideas for your own projects.

  1. They are so cute, and simple. Who said Christmas is hard. Thanks for the push, I am sure there are many of us who need it. You have given us such inspiration! Keep up the good work!

  2. I'm new to casting resin, and I can't get the can open. It is from ETI, and when I open the top, there is a sealed barrier. I don't see any instructions on the can on how to open it, so I've been trying to dig a mini flathead screwdriver in between the seal.

Does anyone have a better idea? How on Earth do you open this thing safely?

  3. Also, the catalyst is tricky. Instructions say to add 15 drops per ounce for a 1/8" layer. I'm using 8 ounces of resin for a 1/8" layer. That equals 120 drops! I'm apt to lose count.

Are there any other suggestions on how much catalyst to use?

    1. The resin you are working with is tricky....I have several posts on the site under the label "clear polyester casting resin" that I hope helps.
