Resin Paper Weight

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with a fun resin project.   If you like pretty, fun items on your desk, then you will love this resin paperweight.  It's easy to make.  And you can add all kinds of things to the resin so each one you make will be unique and different.

I started with the Castin' Craft Round Mold, spraying it with Mold Release so the paperweight easily released once it set.

I mixed the EasyCast® Clear Casting Epoxy according to the manufacturer's directions then added ETI Blue Transparent Dye

After pouring some resin in the mold, I added assorted beads and flowers.

Because elements you add to the resin during the curing process will naturally sink to the bottom of the mold, allow some curing time before adding additional elements.  You want the elements to appear to be floating in the resin.

Die cut blue felt to fit the base of the paperweight and adhere it with Helmar Fabric Glue.   Because the glue dries clear and fast, it was the perfect adhesive to use.

Just think of the variety of paperweights you can create with these awesome products.

Thanks for stopping by today.
