Glazing Tiles With Envirotex Lite To Make Cool Coasters

These happy shiny tiles were beautified with Envirotex Lite.
This durable, resilient material requires no polishing to produce a high gloss. One coating of this is equal to 50 coats of varnish!
Here is how my tiles started.  I collect napkins and always set aside unique patterns to make coasters with.  One napkin can easily become a set of four matching coasters.  I used Mod Podge to decoupage the napkin to the tile surface.
This tile I collaged and painted with acrylic paints.
When everything was dry, the tiles looked okay...a little dull would be my description.
I made a small batch of Envirotex Lite and brushed it across the surface of my tiles.
They cured to this gorgeous high gloss shine.  The colours are all brighter and my surface is now even.
I always line the back of my tiles with either felt or cork.  This way they stack nicely and won't ever stick together.
My before and after the glaze photos!
