I knew I was going to love broken china edged with our Jewelry Clay!
This is another faux soldering technique!
(see yesterday's post for first half)
I added a little extra colour to my pink edges with metallic wax after my clay cured overnight.
These turned out even better than planned...so I won't cry over broken china anymore! In fact, I may "accidentally" drop a few more pieces in the future!
Looks exactly like solder. Amazing - yet another clay technique I need to try!
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteI may have to give it a try.
I have not begun soldering and might not with this idea... Love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you ! What a cool way to create a focal.
ReplyDeleteI found a plate at Goodwill with apples on it. Only paid 99 cents and it took me a day to decide if I wanted to smash it. But I did! Wish I could have controlled the way it broke better but my pendants look pretty good. I just used polymer clay as I didn't have any jewelry clay.
ReplyDeleteWell done! I am so glad you experimented with this technique!
