Part one of my project was narrowing down my choices for the items I wanted to work with.
If you missed yesterday's post I announced that Nunn Design has sent me one of everything from their new 2012 Fall collection. Next week I will have a give-a-way where you can win one of these complete collections too!
With my choices decided I began to pull out some paper imagery.
I switched to Aleene's decoupage glues for my sealer option. I find their project to be much lighter and it is sealing my images beautifully. (If you are new to resin, there are blog posts about "sealing paper" that you can review.)
I sealed these bezel paper images and let them dry overnight. Then I added some chain and glitter glues.
When everything was ready, I poured in my FIRST layer of Jewelry Resin. Note that I did not pour resin to the brim...I am going to have a doming pour after my first layer is cured.
So, layer one of resin is curing.
The next post will show you what I do next!
These are looking great so far
ReplyDeleteI second that. Can't wait to see how they'll look when you're done!
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! I'm excited too to see the results.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to spending my whole day on resin today - can't wait for the next post on these! I've been using ModPodge to glue and seal. Think I'll pick up a bottle of Aileene's this weekend and give it a try!
ReplyDeleteWow look at all your choices! I am dying to see what you do next.
ReplyDeleteThose look great. Can't wait to see the final results. I need to start experimenting with the jewelry resin in my bezels.
