Orchids and Resin - Part Two

 This is what I decided to do with my resin glazed dried orchid.  I love this necklace.
 Yesterday I told you how I applied Jewelry Resin to the front and back of a dried orchid.
 The resin covered orchid is very strong now, but I choose to mount it to a metal frame.
 Jewelry Resin brightened the dried orchid!  You can see the purple and yellows a lot better now.
Just one more reason for you to start experimenting with resin crafts!

    Very nice. Could you choose to not use a metal frame and instead attach a bail to the back, would it still be strong enough? And where can I get a metal frame like that? Do they have them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby?

      I could have attached a bail, it was definitely strong enough, but I preferred the frame. Metal frames are something I find online. You should check out HHH Enterprises, they have a lot!

    Oh, this is SO great! I have a dried flower I kept from a lei on our family vacation in Hawaii and was wondering if I could use resin on it. Thank you, Carmi, for these two posts. SO glad to know I can do this! :)
