Nunn Design Channel Beads and Jewelry Resin

I am so happy with how this bead looks!
It turned out so well I made the matching kumihimo bracelet to showcase it!
This is my fourth post featuring some of the 2012 newly launched products at Nunn Design.
Tomorrow I have a special give-a-way announcement!
Becky Nunn sent me these "channel beads" to experiment with.
Working on a curve is not my first thought when I pull our my ETI resin products.
However, resin as a glaze is pretty spectacular.
So here is what I did.  I applied some tissue and paper images to the beads.   I sealed my images with several layers of mod-podge.
Then I "painted" on a glaze of Jewelry Resin just like I would if I was going to seal them with a varnish.  I babysat my beads to make sure I didn't put too much on.  I didn't want resin to pool in one location or cure with a drip.  After an hour or so, I was sure that the glaze was just settling nicely.
How do you like these beads?  I'll be experimenting a lot more with this technique in the future!
