Jewelry Resin and Paper

I know everyone does not have access to a wholesale district with hundreds of bezels to choose from.
I wanted to show you how easy it is to craft your own paper bezel.  This heart ornament is filled with the new EnviroTex Jewelry Resin and is super sturdy even though it is made from paper.
To begin you need a chipboard shape.  Chipboard is sold wherever there are scrap booking supplies.  It is a staple for that craft.  You also find it in different types of packaging and it is great to recycle.
I glued some tissue paper to the back of the chipboard using mod podge.
Then I waited till the glue dried and cut away the excess tissue.  Then I applied several layer to both the front and the back of this chipboard and tissue embellishment.  You will be surprised how strong the tissue paper becomes.
Before adding my charm and resin I painted my chipboard silver.
Voila.  An ornament for a friend who loves frogs.  Now that my resin is cured it looks and feels like glass!

  1. That's gorgeous. I guess I better run over to Michael's again and see they got the resin yet.
I'm so anxious to try this, I might have to sleep at Michaels and wait for the delivery truck. :0)
