The Sample Bag

Is this, or is this not a plateful of happy?  This selection was sent to me by one of Resin Crafts Blog readers.
I have admired a number of your creations on resincrafts.blogspot.com and I just wanted to quickly write you to tell you how much of a fan I am of your work. You have a lot of cool ideas and truly unique designs! I happen to be a colleague at a crafting supply store called WholePort that sells a huge selection of beads, buttons lace trim, jewelry findings and a lot more and has a lot of happy buyers. Our store address is: www.wholeport.com . Would you like to try some samples? The samples are completely free for you! I love your creations and just thought that maybe some of our supplies might help you create many more great designs in the future.

Of course I would love a bag of goodies!  Nothing inspires me more than to work with something I didn't choose.  It is a real challenge.
In the kit I received these items including wood doll head beads, resin flowers, metal owl charms, a shell pendant and a few other sweet items.
I knew that there were some components that would work together easily.  A few I would need to alter.  I had this extra large bottle cap I wanted to use and I filled the bottom layer with some Apoxie Sculpt resin clay.  I also added a dangle attachment.
The cute flowers I needed to recolor.  I made them all silver with an application of silver Gilders Paste.
Then I arranged all my items in the bottle cap!  Since I had a few open spaces I also added in a few crystals.  I let this cure for 12 hours.
Then the magic!  I made a small batch of Envirotex Lite.  I poured it into the big bottle cap.
With a small paintbrush I also brushed some resin onto the wood beads.
 Tada!!
The last step was to add the shell and metal charms!
Thank you Jenny and Wholeport for the samples!  See you on Facebook!
