My worlds are colliding.
I have a few France related interests. Napoleon is one of them.
Doesn't this medallion look old? It is tiny. 1 inch wide by 1 3/8 length. Yet it has so much detail.
I made a mold of an old Napoleon pendant with EasyMold Silcone Putty.
I poured in some Envirotex Lite resin which I coloured with Black Opaque Pigment.
I sanded the edges and used Gilder Paste to colour the piece. That's how I got all those beautiful metallic tones.
I placed the finished piece in this gold bezel. I feel like I have a framed piece of miniature art!
Really cool to see the project from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteI've been itching to get into resin, but feel I need to finish what I started with metalsmithing before I start another medium. I love seeing how you made this wonderful pendant. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYes you have made a miniature work of art, Carmi. It's beautiful and you make is look do easy. Thank you for the details.
ReplyDeleteThanks girls, it is a pleasure to share my ideas!
